Statement · For the record

This city has a reputation. We are the inverse of it.

Not a party crew. Not a networking mixer. Not a pitch room, a lead pool, or a place to be seen. Operators who train in the morning, build all day, and go deep at dinner.

We protect that on purpose. Conduct standards are written, signed, and enforced. If you're looking for the party, Medellín has plenty. This is where the builders are.

Los locales · At the table

International room. Colombian table.

Members come from the States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and beyond. And this is not an expat bubble: Colombian founders and operators sit at this table too, and Spanish speakers are welcome. One thing to know before you apply: every event and all communication runs in English.

"La gente es muy auténtica, muy humilde, es gente de verdad. No es gente que intenta aparentar, que solo piensa en dinero."

"The people are authentic, humble, real people. Not people trying to keep up an image, who only think about money."

Examiner's note · On file

The first call you'll have with us is not a sales call. It's a verification call, and it runs in both directions. If I don't think you're a fit, I'll tell you directly and point you somewhere better.

I read every application myself. I've said no to founders I personally like, and to people who cleared every financial bar, because one wrong person at the table costs more than ten right ones add. If you're building something real and you want a room that takes you seriously, I'd like to meet you.

The questions skeptics ask

Morning session · El Poblado

Question 01

"Isn't this just another Medellín social scene?"

Answered

Our events end on time, the conduct code is signed and enforced, and partying your way through the community is the fastest way out of it. Members chose this city to build, not to escape.

"These are founders working on their companies, their health, and their families, in a city they chose deliberately."

Question 02

"The rooms in Medellín are full of people still figuring it out."

Answered

The meetups and group chats are. This room is not. Every member cleared a $2M verified revenue floor, a real exit, or a serious investor track record before they ever sat down. People still in transition have plenty of places in this city. This is not one of them.

"I keep meeting dabblers, people still finding themselves. I'm past that. My business is stable. I'm looking for people at my level."

Question 03

"Is it actually worth it?"

Answered

We won't promise ROI. We'll show you the room and let you decide. That's what the dinner is for. Members co-invest, hire from each other's benches, and do business on a handshake, because verification already happened at the door.

Question 04

"I already know everyone in this city."

Answered

A member with fifteen years here said the same thing before his first dinner. Knowing the city is not the same as sitting at a verified table of its most serious operators.

"15 years in Medellín and I'd never had these conversations."

Procedure

How founders are selected

Same bar for everyone · No exceptions
01

Apply

Five minutes, free. What you've built, why Medellín, what you'd bring to the table. Most applications end here.

Day 0
02

The call

Fifteen minutes, both directions. A vetting conversation, not a pitch. No payment, no pressure. If it's not a fit, we say so directly.

Same week
03

The dinner

Hold your seat with a fully refundable $1,000 deposit. One evening, one table in El Poblado, 10 to 20 members. You read the room; the room reads you.

Week 2
04

The vote

Members vote anonymously within 24 hours. Then verification: background check on every new member, revenue verified through your accountant. Even referrals go through it.

Week 3
05

The invitation

If it's mutual, your deposit applies to membership. If not, for any reason, either direction, it's returned in full.

Week 4

We never negotiate and we never chase. The room does the selling. We just set the table.

For the record

Asked on every call

Answers, not fine print
Q·01

What does membership cost?

+

$10,000 to $16,000 a year, depending on how much of the year you live in Medellín. Applying and the vetting call are free; the only money before membership is the refundable $1,000 dinner seat hold. We don't negotiate. The price is part of the curation. If the number ends the conversation, the room probably isn't your fit yet.

Q·02

How much time does this take?

+

Something happens every week; nothing is mandatory. No attendance rules, no fines for choosing your family over a trip. Members are operators, fathers, and travelers. Come when you can. The one thing we ask you not to miss is the annual.

“Aunque solo puedas ir a uno o dos al año, realmente merece la pena.” "Even if you can only make one or two a year, it's truly worth it." Pablo Gallo · Member, Spain
Q·03

I'm not in Medellín twelve months a year.

+

Neither are 40% of members. Plenty split the year between here, the States, Mexico City, and elsewhere. There's a half-time membership for exactly that, and chapters growing across Latin America travel with you.

Q·04

Can my wife or partner be involved?

+

Yes, deliberately. Couples dinners, family-friendly events, a Fathers of Medellín subgroup, and a 50% rate for a second member. Most members' partners know each other. This is a life here, not a boys' club.

Q·05

Am I going to get pitched?

+

No. Pitching members, selling into the room, or treating the community like a lead pool is the fastest way out of it. The conduct code is signed and enforced. Business happens constantly inside the group, but always organically, and always contribution first.

Q·06

What if I'm not approved?

+

Your $1,000 comes back in full, no forms, no friction. Roughly a third of dinner guests aren't approved, and we'll tell you directly rather than let you wonder. The bar is the product; it has to hold even when it's uncomfortable.

Open file

Not everyone who applies will be invited. That's the point.
